This is a beautiful example of what Virgin Valley offers the serious collector!  approximately 16” x 3” x 2” (40cm x 6cm x 4 cm) and weighing 1lb 14 oz (.88kg). A full round branch buried in 14 million year old clay lake bed the the outside opalized with precious opal. the wood is most likely a Sequoia variety which was prevalent in the area at the time. Cleaned , the wood stabilized ,and opal polished this would be a stand out specimen for any collection.
